This is very well written and detailed with pics everybody can understand.
But given the user never said anything about it being banned or not, I would also include the step to set up a proper protection. I personally recommend exosphere+dns_mitm, Incognito is meh because it directly modifies prodinfo: https://rentry.org/ExosphereDNSMITM
In general I think providing this https://rentry.org/EristaEmuNAND or this https://rentry.org/EristaSysNAND is the best to set up everything properly according to what the user wants to use. But your pics help understanding it better.
oh, yeah, that steps are only to get Hekate (and Nyx) running from there will be a little furter steps, they are on:

https://nh-server.github.io/switch-guide/
or
https://switch.homebrew.guide/

but if he is unable to even boot the console, the guides will be confusing.

once the console is on Hekate, sure, read the guides and start all the hacking process.

Given the caps this sounds a lot like a second account of the cringiest SXOS defender I ever met in my life two days ago here on this forum, please tell me I'm right.
Just stating facts.

There are no widespread reports of exfat ever being an issue when just reading XCIs/nsp installs. When using emunand, atmo automatically sets its nand to fat32 so all writing operations are done on the fat32 partition while all nsp installs are done from the exfat partition, again with no widespread reports of issues ever.

Homebrew and things like that, that do a large amount of write operations of course fat32 is strongly recommended but for those who are literally just reading NSPs or XCIs I have never seen a single report of issues of exfat being an issue. Nobody has ever been able to show me a single post or thread where reading has been an issue with exfat on the switch driver, only writing.

And for the sxos vs atmo. Anything FW11 and before SXOS reigns supreme. Post FW11 SDK games, atmo takes the win. USB loading super XCIs will always be more convenient and quicker than having to install nsps. Second atmo allows me to do that, then SXOS is dead to me.
