bootNTR just boots NTR CFW. NTR CFW is what allows all the mods and cheats.

Nope, because how NTR CFW works, it's need home menu to already running. Unlike others CFW.

I think you are misunderstanding the "Boot" in BootNTR. It doesn't mean that it loads ntr at boot, it is a cia that launches the ntr.bin file in your SD card.

Theoretically it should be possible for a CFW to patch the system so NTR is autoloaded, but why continue to support a no longer updated and closed source homebrew? Luma is instead aiming to replace NTR. CPU clock setting and code.bin redirection is already there.

Gateway obviously isn't open sourced, otherwise they'd have a pretty hard time selling their cards.
