Hacking boot backup disc in disk channel

is there a way to patch the system to load back ups from the disc channel with out loading gamma and restarting the wii, other than buying a chip??

is this verry easy to cause a brick like every one is saying??

Short answer: No. Not any time soon.

Long answer:
The Fish disk is the only Wii game to use IOS16. The backuplauncher and cSM both use an IOS based on IOS36, + a custom integrated DI module. The DI module is what enables it to work. If we wanted to launch the Fish disk, we would have to integrate this DI module into IOS16, install it as IOS249 and run it with an existing loader. This cIOS based on IOS16 would only work for the fish disk, since IOS16 was made and only being used by the fish disk.
