I'm from Quebec so I speak both french and english

French isn't readily available in most US Schools but there are several independent classes that people take to learn another language.
Spanish education is very popular in both media and schools right now, so many schools are now giving spanish lessons though the quality of such classes vary from place to place.

Also, dont forget that the internet makes it really easy to learn a new language or just get some stuff translated so he/she may or may not actually speak french.

That is not true,or atleast were I live now it isn't.
In NewYork a majority of schools give you spanish and french classes.
