Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, the upcoming spiritual successor to Jet Set Radio, was announced to release next year as a Nintendo Switch timed console exclusive today during the Indie World Showcase livestream. A new trailer accompanied the announcement:

In a world from the mind of Dion Koster, where self-styled crews are equipped with personal boostpacks, new heights of graffiti are reached. Start your own cypher and dance, paint, trick, face off with the cops and stake your claim to the extrusions and cavities of a sprawling metropolis in an alternate future set to the musical brainwaves of Hideki Naganuma.

Yes! Skateboarding will be one of the move styles, there will still be more ways to get around.

Bomb Rush Cyberfunk will also launch on Steam in 2022 and the Switch's timed-exclusivity apparently won't last long as in today's announcement, the game's release on other platforms is said to follow "about a week later".

i don't expect this same civil reaction about this game being timed exclusive on Switch........now imagine this game being a EGS exclusive.........

One is 7 days of exclusivity on a console that is pretty unique in architecture compared to all other platforms, and the other is 182 to 365 days of exclusivity to a specific store on a platform.

I, too, have absolutely no idea why people would be okay with one of those but no the other, none.
