Coming soon: Demo 2, or another desperate attempt to grab attention.
Seriously, let it ago, demo 1 was just lousy for the months of hype and crap we put up with.
Seems to me the guy didn't like the idea of finding a proper publisher.
Instead just whining to Nintendo like it would fix everything.
They are a Japanese company, they won't publish some random guy's code.
Other publishers might buy it though.
I wouldn't mind seeing how it turned out in the end though.
So this being published or is it just a homebrew release?
Also 9/9 is the B-day of the Dreamcast. Odd day to pick. Sides the first lining up of the same numbers since last year.
From what I've seen of the game, I can only guess its about talking to hundreds of people without a real motive.
Though add some monsters and some sorta generic rule the world bad guy plot and it might be decent.
The engine seemed to run decent enough from the demo.
whats bob game or is it the guy who threatens nintendo for locking himself up?
the game is having an official release ? i doubt so!
so i reckon it is just maybe a demo or homebrew release
It's amazing how fast the hype for this game died after he released the demo. I am actually excited for the full release. I think that Bob's marketing or whatever the fuck all the weird stuff that he did to promote the game was pretty funny. I don't understand all the negative hype around it. I think that it's obvious that he wasn't serious.
For the people who have clearly missed the whole "Bob's Game" shenanigan, he didn't expect his game to be licensed by Nintendo in the first place. The whole 100 day protest thing was more of a viral ad. I mean, people figured it out by the first few days that his "live" webcam feed wasn't exactly live.
Why he would make a viral ad for a free homebrew game in the first place is a bit of a mystery, but then I have seen many people on the internet put efforts into things they never really profit from so I guess it's not that surprising.
what he should do is just offer the game for free from his website and accept contributions. or do like radiohead did with their release of "in rainbows". let people name their own price (which could be 0 if they so chose). would be a lot less stress and if he was successful he'd be able to take that to a real developer and say "look what i did, give me a job"
hmm, i wonder if next release will be final version or near final version.
the think i didn't like from this game is the decoration is too big and that make the main character thinking twice before getting straight.
