blotches of dead(?) pixels on psp screen

a day or two ago some blotches of seemingly dead pixels appeared on my psp (3000) screen. afaik, the screen is original and has not been touched or modified. the pixels seem to change color depending on what is behind them. i tried burn in removal to no avail. is there any fix apart from replacing the screen?

nope, it appeared out of nowhere.

Judging by what it looks like, which is physical damage, it's probably not something you can fix without a swap.
