The potions have consisted of water in a bucket that, over a period of a month or so, have had garden clippings, crisps, sweets and god only knows what else added to it until the whole thing is a putrefying mess. This concoction is then fed to the poor hapless dog who appears to be stupid enough to actually drink some of it. I thought Labradors were supposed to be smart, but I guess I was wrong.

finally got the story that it was a potion the he and his friend had been making in an attempt to turn the dog into a frog.
