Hacking blocking 3DS update also block spotpass ?

so , this thread really helped me using OpenDNS method

i used this url to block:
nus.wup.shop.nintendo.net
nus.cdn.wup.shop.nintendo.net
nus.cdn.shop.wii.com
c.shop.nintendowifi.net

and manged to connect to online in Pokemon Omega Ruby and super smash 3DS
but , will it block the spot pass for Mii plaza and other apps like Pokemon bank ?
