Hacking Bliss custom firmware update!

well the firmware was updated yesterday, Thank you so much Bliss.

"Last update : 2008. 07. 01 ( version: bliss.k10 )
based on official 4.0.6 rom loading engine is based on official 4.0.7a16-modified"

this is from the included readme file

1. loader engine has changed toÂÂofficial a16-modified.
ÂÂÂÂ- game compatiblity has improved. (1404, 1923, 2319,2385 etc.)
ÂÂÂÂ- soft-reset feature has improved.
ÂÂÂÂ- fixed wifi-config issue of Animal crossing
ÂÂÂÂ- supporing savefile of 64Mb.

2. fixed conflict MIC & Acekard2's special option(softreset,cheat) in "mario party ds" (used gelu's patch)
3. improved gbasleep and gbapatcher as gelu's final work.
4. fixed size header of ak2_sd.dldi

Known Problems:
ÂÂÂÂAbout 2385,
ÂÂÂÂIf you use file less than 8MB, loader will take a long time to ajdust savefile.
ÂÂÂÂyou cannot use download songs, currently. - I guess nintendo blocked about unofficial cartridge id. So, you can see only list of songs from wi-fi connection.

if i was good enough to supply non opensource firmware code for someone to expand on only to have them bring out modified firmware before the official release id stop posting them code

Tried it out just for you. Beta firmware, soft-reset disabled.

I walked through the first save arch, flashed black for a few seconds and continued to the next level. I Was able to load to the same spot also.

P.S. Game looks boring

Thanks seren. So it sounds like the beta fixes the saving problem. I wonder what changed between the upcoming a16 (which Bliss k10a is based on) and the beta that would account for it.

To clarify, seren, did you try it with Bliss k10a before you tried it with the beta?

I will get off my hand these custom firmware projects because of dirty backbiting cowards.
And I will remove all my source code and binary release about these projects in 7 days from my HDD and homepage.

I think that this is really crappy because the AKAIO team quit, too so now we're stuck with the default menu! Lucky us!

Ah, that sucks... Does anyone know what happened? Is the AceKard Team "dirty backbiting cowards"? I don't understand at all
