Yes, it is understandable. Locking it might be the best, but why should the guy be punished? In my humble opinion, the assholes who are flaming without any proof should be the ones who are locked out of the topic.

Also, I can say that Skull has just finished a beta of my project, and he can do really good work. I doubt that he's BSing.

Locking a thread doesn't equal punishment. I'll keep going to the example of Psychoblaster's Kingdom Hearts translation. It was locked for a good reason and was unlocked when a release was made. That kept all the flame away or at least cut it by 95% (and the other 5% were dumbasses who started new topics and probably got a spanking for it). This is actually doing him a favor. It helps him spend less time beating away the flames and more time developing his game. HOLY CRAP LOGIC!

And the flaming assholes (*insert obvious sexual pun here*) do get their slap on the wrist. Whether it's a stern announcement that any more flaming will equal warn increase/bans or throwing in a 10% warning off the back (although the first option is probably easier), it'll help stop the flaming. Even then, most of the flames are coming from newcomers whose sole purpose here is to flame him. They'll eventually realize there's no point flaming any more if they can't flame his threads and walk away.

So you going to string everyone along again on this one.

Let me fill you in so far.

This game so far has 2 what we call actions.

1 to move the back ground
1 jump action

Thats it both of them he did not make as he has no idea on how to code a game.

I got so sick of his begging for help that I had to ban him on DSGM forums.

Don't dispute this Alex Or I will post all the PM's here for the world to see what a suck job you tried. Over the 29 PM's thats right 29 PM's he must have said please help me 40 times.

Useless. Don't wait for this one to come out. It will be just like the zelda that never came out. Then he has the cheek to release the version that was on a video a month ago... what no work in a month. This kid is full of himself and a no hoper. He will do anything to be the centre of attention.

Don't mean to be funny or anything, but you banned him from a forum because he asked for help?????????????????

Isn't that what forums are for, to share knowledge, ask questions, be helpfulto others?

It really really irks me when someone who knows how to do something can be so offended when they are asked for help. I had the same experience when I started modding Wii's,I askled a question on another forum and was told that if I had to ask questions I should not be modding a Wii.

Does it give you a power buzz or something knowing you know something somebody else wants to know?

Most people on this forum are very helpful, no matter how noobish the question.

Even though you now know how to code a game, I bet there was a time you had to ask for help.

I know Skullcollector has backtracked with his Zelda game, but FFS the kids 13, give him a bit of slack. It could be worse he could be one of the notrights hanging around on street corners, drinking cheap cider and causing trouble.

And a message to Skull' - have fun in what you are doing and don't let anyone put you down, but don't bite to every post that is put on here that attacks you. develop your game and release it. Sure give us some demo'salong the way and some updates, ask for help, whatever. But when you retaliate and start calling other peop-les developments crap and such, just remember that some of the people you are name calling are the ones you are askig for help from.

Peace.

hmmm what Eldude did is way out of the league.
Besides, banning for a help question ? that shows how bad those forums are.
yup that forum should go on a forum blacklist
anyways
i agree with our crazyfriendly Guild McCommunist (Respect!)
Lock this Topic.
Let it Get Re-Opened when the project is about nearly or exactly done.
because there are so much self-centered people with only a brain and not a heart

Does it give you a power buzz or something knowing you know something somebody else wants to know? Cant answer for Eldude but it can sometimes get annoying when someone asks a lot of questions about something that would be obvious had they just researched a bit.
Not so long ago alot of games required the newest AKAIO loader to work. This question was asked alot of times and it was annoying because others found out themselves. Then like your example somebody says "if you are not smart enough to read the FAQ to see you have to update loader then DONT have an Acekard.

Most people on this forum are very helpful, no matter how noobish the question. Update AKAIO Loaders.. that question got asked pretty many times and is a great example that noob questions is not met with a calm answer

This is just what i think. I dont think there is any e-peen involved or sick/twisted minds. Just people who are tired of obvious questions.

I really do not need to explain my actions to you all. But to set the record straight. The banning was for two reasons.
Firstly for disrespecting the admins and my game making abilitys.
Second was for having two accounts on the forum.

Come visit the forums, you will see how helpful I am.

I took a peek. It appears as though there was some provoking involved. Neither of my sites would ban for such an offense, but I'm glad that things were worked out. Perhaps it can be more peaceful now.

What... You can see my abusive PM's. Don't get involved when you can't see the facts.

Everyone can look at your post history. PM's are private outside of the moderator staff (I think).

Anyway, this is about Black Shadow, not Eldude vs. Skullcollector. I'm not watching Rocky here.

Let me be a tow truck. You're car (aka your posts) has fallen off the road (aka topic). Now my metaphoric towtruck will help bring your metaphoric car onto the metaphoric road. Get that?

Of course, this is all happening while I metaphorically (real words have been lost?) watch from the sky, landing for a temporary rest on the metaphoric towtruck while the metaphoric car is being towed to the metaphoric road xD.
