ROM Hack Black screen

I tried update old3ds, however when it restarted it just stays on a black screen with the blue led on. It wont let me go onto any menus by pressing down, select or start during reboot. Can anyone help?

If you have a9lh and use luma, you need to update Luma to the latest version

You have to manually download the new arm9loaderhax.bin and replace the old one on your sd.

Thank you so much for the help. I spent 3 hours trying to fix it thinking I bricked my 3ds, and all I had to do was replace one file. Thanks again

If you are updating EmuNand, then yes.

With a9lh updating should always be safe, but always check the temp before updating. When a new update comes out a thread is created that discusses what does and doesn't work with the new update.
