Hacking Black Screen system menu

Im not usually one to ask for help but i cant seem to figur this out and dont want to install anything else to make it worse.

I have a launch wii with wiikey v1 and had all softmod installed and using homebrew.

Wii was updated to 4.2e so everything stopped working. Followed the guide on here to patch everything to get cios again. not gone well!!

When i switch my wii on it hangs at a black screen. absolutey nothing. tv says there is no signal.
I can hold reset to get to preoloader and can boot into the HBC. I can run everything from there obviouslty but would kinda like the system menu back.


The guide i followed was the simplistic mod and thought i followed it correctly but obviously not.

How can i remove what i have done though the guide. i dont want to just do the guide again incase it messes something up.


I have bootmii as boot2 but no nand backup (stupid i know)

download the system menu 4.2 wad from NUSD for your region then use wad manager to install it.

you got your system menu back.
