Hi, I am at my wits end with this. cant find a solution anywhere.

I have an o3ds on 5.1 FW.

I have been trying to upgrade this to 9.2 following various guides but every time i try to go in to Devmode or Pasta in rxTools 2.5.2 and 3.0 I get a black screen and have to turn off the 3ds

I have tried different SD cards, different readers.

I have emunand set up and that is fully upgraded and stuff i just want to be on 9.2 so I can complete the process

Any ideas?

I am having the same issue, but on a european console (N3DS). Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I also had this problem, tried something really stupid, and bricked. Oh well.
Though after a lot of reasearch, I think I finally found what to do: If you updated with a cartridge, install the right browser for your version (so it should be 5.1.0-11, the browser should be v3075), then launch gateway, make a NAND backup, downgrade to 4.5 using Gateway, and then you should be able to launch devmode without problems.

According to this, it is also possible to do a cartridge update to a 6.x version. Might be easier then upgrading and then downgrading if you maybe have to buy a cartridge anyway.

Here is a cartridge list with firmware versions.
