Hello!

I decided to homebrew my old Wii a couple of days ago. Mario Kart Wii & Smash Bro's are not loading through USBLoaderGX or WiiFlow. I get a black screen upon pressing "start", the Wii becomes unresponsive and the controller powers off. I initially had a USB 3.0 flash drive but had no success, so I purchased a compatible USB 2.0 drive from the "compatible drive" list. I have also tried changing the settings in USBLoaderGX but haven't had any success. I made a System check, so maybe you guys can help me. I am completely new to Wii modding so any help would be really appreciated.

Then discovered this forum shortly after having issues...

You can format the usb flash drive as WBFS with this software. And put the files again & see if it works.

I'd seen this on other forums. I'm not sure this is the issue though? I specifically purchased a new flash drive on the "compatible list"
USBs are known to cause problems with the Wii, you can format it as wbfs to make it work a tad better. But an external HDD with a Y-cable is always recommended.
