Homebrew Black screen after certain loading screens

After finishing the credits in tetris ds, i get a black screen, and other loading screens, how do i avoid this?

Can you be more specific? Are you using original carts, or a flashcart, or an emulator, or what?

Twilight++, i think, well at least thats what pops up

That's not very specific. Is this on a 3DS? Are you playing games from your SD card? Have you applied any AP patches? Are you using the latest version of TWiLight Menu++?

oh, no its a dsi, and i am playing the game from my sd card, no patches that i know of (i dont know how to do that anyway).

This is an issue with nds-bootstrap.
It's most likely due to the unpatched soft-reset issue.

The latest?

If you mean the latest stable release, they can be found at the nds-bootstrap github repository.
If you mean the latest codebase (not stable, but has newer features), they can be found at the TWLBot/Builds github repository.

i used the newer nds-bootstrap, put it in my nds_ folder and everything, still doesnt work

Here is the NDS-Bootstrap compatibility list , and it shows all games ( but no dsiwares into ) .

İ quote the list :
"Minigames are known broken because they cause a system reset which is currently not supported."
İ had the same issue , dont worry
And there is probably the same reset for your Tetris , it reset the game after the end ...

Try with EU version , and tell me if it works .

odd, i have a new europe rom, but still have the black screen, is there any way for me to check the region through the dsi? or test the rom?

Press select in rom menu , go on TWiLight Menu++ settings , and search the system language ...

I get black screen with dsiware games too. For instance, bird and beans. Four sword works instead.
