Gaming black ops wii patch....wut?

u guys dont need to use the shop channel to update. Mine isnt updated and I downloaded the patch right from the game.

I had been playing a NTSC Black Ops in a PAL Wii but since the patch was realease I received no "Updating message/ Update downloading option" and the multiplayer stopped working (I can not join a match anymore).

Does anyone has a NTSC BO updated in a PAL Wii?

The patch is screwing up my key (button) bindings. I pretty much have to reassign my sprint/interaction button before every match. Not too surprised, though, as the PS3 patch also managed to make things worse for folks.

I updated Wii Shop Channel to v20, got it already linked to my Club Nintendo membership and am able to dl channels. I went to Black Ops multiplayer and it doesn't give me an update message and won't let me enter a lobby. Im using CFG 224 mload on latest firmware on 4.2U. Why is this happening?

had you used the shop channel before as mine spat out the first screen I linked until I booted shop for the first time and agreed to their terms?

You DO NOT need an updated shop channel to download the patch.
You DO NOT need to enter the shop channel to download the patch.

You NEED to have used the shop channel at least once, in the entire lifetime of your console, not once today, not once in a while, ONCE, to create an account and to be eligeble to download the patch.


Mismatched regions DO NOT prompt to download the patch, if your game is region forced, get it on your own region.

u never used bootmii? Scratch my last recommendation to u, I think u should tell ModMii that your Wii is a virgin even though its not. Then it will take you through the entire softmod process from the beginning to make sure u didn't miss anything important (like brick protection via bootmii, nand dump and priiloader). The entire softmod process is actually very short and easy. So yea, tell modmii your wii is a virgin even though its not, and also tell it to install the shopping channel. Then let it download and follow the guide

i did what you told me and i got all cinda wads all over the plase now ='( do i need to install all just to get hte shop channel to work?

EDIT: ok now i did the non virgin method, and only say yes to update shop channel but i didnt get IOS56 and
cIOS249v20[56] that you told me to get, what now?

I'm having the same problem,seems like NTSC black ops won't update on a PAL wii
we need a PAL version of the game.

I have never accessed to shopchannel, the game tels me there is a update on wiishop

I go to wiishop channel but then it tells me i neet to accep the wii network servise agreement and wii24. DOES it mess my wii with an update if i accep it? : o

Im playing off disc and the update has muffed up my bindings as well. Sprint button has to be re-bound every time I log on. I still have the no ADS for the first spawn and 5-10 wait before respawn and the occasional multiplayer console freeze. I do notice that it happens in Team Deathmatch much more than other gamemodes. I never freeze playing hardcore (no HUD and such) and I think its just from too much on screen happenings and in game events for my poor wii to handle (reading from burnt disc). From what I understand, the 5-10 second spawn thing is because Im playng from disc. Do you people playing from thumb drive/HDD have the respawn or no ADS problems?

Also, is this accurate?
