So, I think it is better for you to update to something like 10.5 and then use browserhax to downgrade to 9.2

or Something compatible to browserhax at least to allow downgrade easily

I actually do have a Ds flashcart. What do I do with it, does it have to be a specific kind? it's some kind of of r4 clone.

I think you can load a .nds or something, and then go into system settings and load something by hitting ds profile settings. I've never used it before.

there's instructions for MSET. You can use that to do a 9.2.0 ctrtransfer I think, or you might be able to load a sysupdater and use an update pack.

download decrypt9 from here and try it: https://github.com/d0k3/Decrypt9WIP/releases
put the .nds on your cart and the launcher and decrypt9 .dats onto your sd root. Try using the 4.x.x one.

yes but right now he has a -10 browser from 4.x.x so I'm assuming that they can load D9 through MSET to do an upgrade, since they said they can't update through the settings, but a cart upgrade might help too. If MSET works then they can go straight to 9.2.0.

I still say try MSET, if you can load into decrypt9 then you're in the clear (or should be). If that doesn't work, then try a cartridge update if you have a 9.9.x cart like pokemon super mystery dungeon for example, then try ninjhax 2 to load decrypt9. If that still doesn't work, then try 11.2.

Don't do that. Updates don't have a browser. and if he uses a cart beyond 9.9 he'll be stuck with a phony browser that's empty and only tells you to update, thus making things worse.

but he has a copy of cubic ninja so it doesn't really matter, he can just use ninjhax 2.

The guy i quoted was telling him to cart update to 9.9 or 10.5 and then browserhax, which if it was less than 9.9, he'd have his same frankenbrowser, and if it was more than 9.9 he'd lose it anyway.
I thought you couldn't get to decrypt9 after 9.2. He'd have to downgrade via plaisysupdater/sysdowngrader to get to 9.2 THEN get decrypt9 going. (don't know which one is in plailect guide now)
