Some themes I did a few weeks (about 2months ago) FAST LOADING

instructions
INSTALLATION OF NEW THEMES
Add files from the resource folder to the vita in the path below, overwrite files

/ux0:/app/PSPEMUCFW/flash0/vsh/resource/

Notes* (no problems tested) (BATTERY ICONS REMOVED, saving pstv/vita people some trouble), just install adrenaline like normal the current version if you want, i use version 6.8, then over write the files, thats all

(used "RCOedit to replace the battery icon file with a blank image, in the the file "system_plugin_fg.rco" (picture files), i forget the rest.

Loads fast like normal because its just reading replaced file, it does not need to load a plugin or anything

(yup i'm about a half a month away, just from being lazy before I really continue to tinker with a psp game, whatever i wanted to do)

It depends on the way the theme is written, but, asset swap can work. for the ones that work don't work.

the themes are simple black/white, nothing fancy, stable and loads fast.speaking of which. (no plugin required).

"DolcePolce" plugin the alternative to and upgrade from, antiblacklist, fixes issues with the vita not identifying updates or dlc, for games that need that to work.

that was the theory behind using "leda.prx" for adrenaline to fix "popsloader", but for other reasons its too intregrated and adrenaline is too customized for it to work ..........

really,,iffy about reinstalling retroarch but, using the "retrov2.glsl" filter from retropie seems to mimic adrenaline's sharpening effect a tiny bit better..............adrenaline can use a contrast improvement, because, sad thing was, its gradient was for the handhelds and didn't take into the pstv's usages on lcd tv's correctly. development isn't closed so we may see more in the future.

Great stuff. There was an old theme that looked similar to that but it used the original icons with a large one floating for selection (had some smooth effects). It looked similar to this but had better stylized icons and a black with accents of silver look:

Might have been called Large Icons something something but it was easily the best as it looked official and very clean. Anyone happen to have the files so we can bring it back?

@ital That's a very popular theme, I've seen a 6.60 version of it online but have never been able to find the .ctf for it. It's got the extras logo spliced in. I love that theme it's very clean and official just as you have just said. Thanks for the compliment, I try my hardest to push out good stuff. I took the base positioning files off of that theme and slowly started replacing things. Before I knew it, this theme was created. I made it for PSP too there's another thread on this website for the 5.00 M33 / 6.60 & 6.61 firmwares.

I don't have a pic of this one, but this is what I use. credit goes to Berion of psx-place. I use his vita theme as well with the same machine. they both match (this is for adrenaline btw):

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I just took a picture of it:

Neat theme. Keeping it clean I see? I like a little expression of another game, series, or franchise (whichever you prefer to use/say) I make my themes solely from what I find online. I compile it all together and there you have it a perfectly good PSP or in the case of this thread, Vita theme.

They've got Large White and Large Black here in CTF format for 6.61 so it would just need to be converted for Adrenaline. I'm sure this isn't the same one I mentioned but its the closest style I could find. The icons on this one are more flat, original was more stylized versions of factory look.

Does anyone else know the theme we're talking about? It was very popular when released as it looked factory standard with very smooth animation and huge icons.
