Hacking Beup 0.3e

I set up my connection properly (went to Run --> CMD --> ipconfig /all) and then copied it all onto the ds settings and made the ip address different to the one on there.. test connection and its fine. I went onto beup it says Connecting.. then Authenticating.. then Cannot Connect

Any help on how to get it working??

this is how i done it.
first get a game like mario kart and set up your wireless configuration and save it.
open beup and log in and hopefully it should work, thats how i did my one anyway.
