Homebrew Question Better PSX Emulator?

Just wondering if theres an option other than PCSX ReARMed. My favorite game (Legend of Legaia) has immense slow-down during battle.

Overclocking fixes this but I've never done that sort of thing before and I don't want to damage my system.

Overclocking is completely safe, but the only other option is Beetle and it's experimental right now not even on the official list of cores.

Disabling dithering in the core options can also give a significant speed boost, but you will likely still need to overclock.

Keep in mind that the GPU is practically idle barring any stressful shaders, this is a software-rendering core after all, so there is battery/thermal headroom to overclock fairly safely, especially while docked.
