What is the best wire to use for the oled chip's besides the magnet wire? I used that stuff and its fine, but so small and hard to control. Anything that i can buy locally that would be better?

If you find the magnet wire too small, just get a bigger diameter wire.
An alternative might be single core PVC wires. Very small single core PVC wires do exist.
Back in the day there AWG-20 sized cables were used for winding wires for prototyping.
The only issue is to take care taking off the pvc shielding without damaging the copper core.
With a sharp cutter knife you easily cut through the copper.
Also it has a tendency to shrink when too much heat is applied.
