PS1/2 best shoot 'em up

hi, I am lookng for a fairly cheap, but fairly good shooter for PS2.
cann anyone reccomend me one that has good graphics and a storymode as i am looking to buy another game to try and stop me from playing my wii 24/7 LOL

by Shoot'em up you mean games like Quake and Half Life?....
if so, i dont know much about it, since i've long abandoned the genre.

now, if you mean games like gradius or somethin like that, then you're in for a hard time findin the one you want, since there's so many GOOD games that it would take awhile mentionin the best ones... but one to start with: Dodonpachi Dai Ou Jou.

You can probaly find Killzone really cheap nowadays. It is not the best FPS but that was never the strongest PS2 genre.

I would also recommend Black, Area 51 and Star Wars Battlefront 2 . You might also want to take a look at Time Splitters 3 if you are into Sci Fi.
