i enabled the trimmer in offline list but it doesn't seem to work. how to i trim roms with it?

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I thought it was only meant for GBA roms.

nope, did a little search. it's working with DS roms, it's just a little bit complicated

I use DS Trimmer v1.0 by Bodom-Child, for me it's the best, I love it, never had any problems with it =)

I made this trimmer for personal use. I'm using about 2 months and dont get any error until now.

Download WxNTrim

Features

- Works with nds and zip files;
- All output files are in nds format;
- Output can be done directly in your flash card, but will consume more time.

Limitations

- Don't works with zip inside zip files yet;
- Don't works in batch mode yet;

I've only used NDSTokyoTrim so far. I like it, but I'll check out Rominator as well.

NDSTokyoTrim does batches, can scan inside subfolders and in zip (but not rar). You can choose to overwrite original, create a 'backup' file with a different extension, or create nds files to another location. Drag & drop supported.

It detects wifi games. It doesn't display how much junk is in a file, but will show you how the total amount of space saved as roms are trimmed. Will skip files if you've already trimmed it, and write an error to the log.

Things I don't like: the pedo anime background picture, and can't maximise window.

I haven't tested all the roms yet, but my friend uses it and says he hasn't had any problems.

Can someone give an example of a problem with the R4 trimmer? I've always used it to trim my ROMs and have never had an issue with it.

Apparently some primitive trimmers cut into some of the wifi data which is placed at the end of the rom, resulting in bricked wifi functions.

Aye, that's why DSClippers have two modes of trimmer
Safe trimming for games with WiFi, so it leaves a little bit of data at the end in case the WiFi game does use it

I've been using DS Trimmer made by Bodom Child for like.. a year. It has done a great job so far, all my trimmed ROMs work well. Its a batch trimmer, drag and drop functionality. It is convenient and very satisfying. Its a joy to use!

I've also always used R4Trimmer without a problem. Online and off.

Unless you guys can provide some sort of source for your claims of "bricking wifi functions," I'm going to assume that you're just talking out of your asses.

I never said it happened to me

I'm just taking what other people are saying and using it for caution.

Well, yeah. I understand that it didn't happen to you. And I also appreciate the word of caution. I'd just like to see a link to somebody that's said they've experienced this problem. Because right now it's all unsubstantiated claims.

From what i've heard, the main game that was/coulda been effected was Mario Vs Donkey Kong 2, and the data and the end was used to store the levels you downloaded
