What? Mine was the launch DSTWO and made long before they even had the chance to knock them off.
Wait, if your system only gets 3 hours, that is a battery drain. My old3DS has been in standby for several days now and still has battery life.
I get far far more than 3 hours. I'm not sure why you're mentioning standby mode as that's not even relevant. I'm talking 5 hours of nonstop gaming and still not having a low battery. With card in.
Edit: on N3DS

I am beginning to feel like this is going nowhere and you are just going to keep defending the DSTWO even though the battery drain is a commonly known issue.

Common knowledge isn't always right. There's tons of myths that are propagated that aren't true. That's why i asked for a source or any form of tests about this 2 pages back. But all i got was you repeating things you already said.

I actually have 2 N3DS's. Gonna charge both to full and then put brightness to max, put on a game and leave em on. One with DStwo other without. We'll see what results it brings.

How about the mountains of complaints about the battery being drained?

From one of your links.

https://gbatemp.net/threads/the-ultimate-ds-battery-test-thread-in-the-world.289020/

Now that's on a DS and the cart being active. But i can't see any tests from 3DS with the cart not being active. And i never said it wouldn't drain it quicker while it was being used. I'm just talking of when it's inactive. From many of your own links its from people who were using the cart to play games. So that's an entirely different scenario.
Edit: Infact from one of your links again

"Dont allow the ds2 to stay in standby with a ds rom playing, it still uses the cpu and drains the battery till the 3ds is back on the home screen."

So that'd imply that if its not active it wont drain the battery.

Considering the cart is still active even when not in use, it's still draining the battery life. And considering the fact that my system can make an entire night with R4i Gold (and beyond,) but it can't even make to lunch with DSTwo says a lot. And this isn't even with the cart actually being active, this is the system on standby either on the homemenu or in game. And this is also wasn't a one time thing, this is every single time.
You also don't consider the differences between the DS and 3DS when using the cart. The 3DS seems to keep the cart active, even when it's not being used. I am not sure why this issue doesn't seem to effect the DS, mostly software/hardware differences. The 3DS suffers a huge battery drain due to this activity. In other words, your threads are correct for the DS, but not for the 3DS. I showed you the of complaints related to the 3DS, are you going to say they are wrong too?

Seriously? I specifically said that the test was for DS and not 3DS. Not once did i say that the DS would have the same results as 3DS. I'm testing it myself and i'll report back tomorrow or the day after. Depends how fast the 3DS's go empty.

Then why did you bother to use them as reply if they weren't relevant? Alright, although with proper testing it might actually take at least two days. Actual suggestion considering time spent charging the systems to full, testing in game and sleep mode, etc. So do be prepared for that.

I honestly find that hard to believe. I've had my DStwo in my 3DS for months while playing CIAs and then had it out for months while playing sun. Noticed no difference whatsoever. If there's a drain it has to be really small. This is a N3DS though.
got any sources about it? would love to read about it in detail.
i have old DStwo, one time i put my N3DS to sleep, and in the other day i found it flashing red light because of the battery.
and i am not running any app and my wireless was off.

You don't mention how full your battery was before hand nor do you mention how long you left it standby. So that's really completely pointless to be honest. The battery still goes down when your 3DS is in sleep mode. It's not like turning it off.

Just because it was interesting to see.

Not testing sleep mode. I never use sleep mode for anything longer than 15 mins so i really don't care about that at all. What i'm doing is the following. Charging both til the orange light goes out. Putting both on, wifi brightness to max, one 3DS with mario cartridge, other DStwo. Both on home menu.

I love my DS Two, but wouldn't recommend it for N3DS since you have to force it into the slot and although its features are awesome on regular DS, they're redundant on 3DS. Has awesome compatibility though.

Edit: BTW, DS Two is a bit of a power hog. Having a built-in processor has its downsides.

Then you aren't testing it properly because Sleep mode is the problem. The system keeps running the cart in the background which it keeps powering the processor on the cart. This bug causes the battery drain in sleep mode. Which considering most people actually do put their systems into sleep mode, this issue is something worth being warned about before buying this cart.

These complaints aren't made by people who don't like the cart. They are made by people who are seeing their batteries drain from the DSTWO. The DSTWO draining the battery isn't just common knowledge, it's an actual fact.

Try touching plastics around the card, you'll realize they're warm. Bingo!

That's funny since sleep mode has only been mentioned once on page 2 as an addendum. and only by you on the latest page. If sleep mode is the problem then that explains why I'm not having this issue as i don't use sleep mode. 3DS boots in like 10 seconds so i've never seen the point of sleep mode. Perhaps for games where you can't save immediately but hasn't really been an issue for me.

Yeb,it was warm.
I didn't noticed that in my old 3ds because i had nyko battery attached to the 3DS.
It's warm because the 3DS continues to power the processor, even in sleep mode. This is why the battery is so quickly drained.

I guess I could mention it more. I assumed it being such a commonly brought up complaint that I wouldn't need to bring it up ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
It's a seriously well known bug basically caused by both the 3DS's slot1 power handling the DSTwo's CPU power usage. And it seems entering sleep mode drains the battery faster with the DSTWO inside of the system.
