There are a lot of jRPG series (sometime unknown outside japan).
The most popular everyone think about :
FF, DQ, chrono, Tales of
Known but often forgotten :
Star Ocean, Suikoden, Breath of Fire, Arc the Lad, Grandia, Lunar, SaGa, Lufia, Golden sun, Wild arms, Ys, Mother, Pokémon, Xenosaga/gears (if we count it as the same series), Mario RPG/paper/& luigi, Baten Kaitos?
- I didn't play : Pokémon, Xenosaga, Baten Kaitos
Less known :
Shin Megami + spin off Persona, Albert Odyssey, Fantasy Star, Atelier (depends on which one from the series, mainly iris and Khemia), Shadow heart, Magna Carta (Korean, but it's jRPG style)
- I didn't play : megami, albert odyssey
Japanese only :
Hanjuku Hero (Egg monster hero), Tengai Makyou (Far east of Eden),
- I didn't play : hanjuku hero
Mixed genre :
Ogre battle : only the first one which has battle system like JRPG, but the game is a Real time strategy
Did I list them all already, or did I miss some ?
There are other good JRPG, but they are not part of a series.
There's also a lot of Tactical RPG series, but I didn't list them.
About saying something ... well, There's only a few which I never played yet.
All the others are great series I like.
I just miss a LOT of time to play all of the games I would like from every series ;___;
(and I secretly wish about completing the games I play !
oh wait, it's not a secret, it's the pirate syndrome)
