So I've not bothered with the scene for months, I've not had to I'm on 5.1.0 and every game I've wanted has been installable on that firmware, even the newest smash patch. Surely things have changed quite a bit since then though so I was wondering is there a new favourable version now because everything seems to work no matter the firmware if the checks are disabled.

I understand if the highest possible without burning fuses might be the best but at the same time if I get the same experience on lower FW is there really much point updating?

Easy. Use ChoiDujourNX and update your Switch to 6.2.0

AFAIK, everything to date works with 6.2.0 but that will change soon enough.

Or wait for Atmoshpere to add 7.0.1 Support (currently being worked on, expected to be released fairly soon)

Guessing you don't have newer games if you see no reason to update, but if you intend on playing the latest games that require higher FW, then you'll want to update to 6.2.

If everything works for you and you're happy then no, not much point.

Some of us just enjoy updating things.

Currently 6.2 as others have said, 7.0.x if you want to use Atmosphere but no backup games just yet ;)

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.

I live maybe 3 minutes from a Dairy Queen, so I would just go there for ice cream anything anyways. I usually get the Oreo Blizzard, or a Peanut Buster Parfait.
