I love the iPhone keyboard but we don't have that. So I was wondering what do you guys use for a keyboard on your Android? I recently got Swype which is amazing to type but hard to type in numbers, emails, and isn't that good in landscape mode. My phone came with HTC keyboard which is pretty good but awful at typing words that you don't know the spelling for or typing words that don't exist as it will keep correcting you. I just got the Gingerbread keyboard which is pretty cool and I like it(I actually got the app from the Android Market called Keyboard from 2.3). I don't really know what I should use the Gingerbread keyboard or the HTC Keyboard.

Ive heard good things about swiftkey....although I wouldn't personally know as my phone has a physical keyboard....

I use the Gingerbread keyboard when I use an onscreen keyboard (though I have a G2/Desire Z, so I use the hardware keyboard usually

). I used the HTC keyboard a lot on my old phone, and it worked for me too (you can turn off the spellcheck so that it won't replace words that aren't in the system). I've also heard that SwiftKey and Better Keyboard are also very good.

Gingerbread is good
I'm currently using HTC keyboard tho.
I probably like the Keyboard from 2.2 most tbh tho

Then again, I didn't use Gingerbreads keyboard too much

I use the physical keyboard on my phone, but the HTC keyboard is quite allright.

Also, how did all you guys get gingerbread on your phones? Mine's still on 2.2.1 froyo, without any updates?

I also used the HTC keyboard for a bit.

I mostly use Swype, though I occasionally use both SwiftKey and SlideIT too.

Try a custom rom

I like gingerbread the best.

Download "Keyboard from 2.3" from the Market.

you realize slideIT is a swype clone, plus swype is free when u sign up for the beta
It could well be a spambot. Seems like it.

Though I did mention, I use both Swype and SlideIT at times. Swype doesn't have an ABC option the way SlideIT does (you can tap the letters, but it will add them to the dictionary automatically), and there are different things I like about them both.

I've been using SwiftKey beta.
It's pretty awesome, whenever I press a key wrong, I just carry on what I was typing when it will say what I really meant.

Like, if was going to type Android and I would type 'Sndroud', it'll come up as Android.

I haven't tried Swype, it looks like a pain though.

swype is awesome for portrait typing (not so much landscape)

it takes a while to get it to build it's dictionary based around words you use (not real/common words), but once it does it's incredibly fast
