Gaming Bent HDMI pins

Has anyone else had any problems with the HDMI port? I unhooked my 360 yesterday to flash the drive and when i hooked it back up, the video wouldn't display over HDMI. Took a look at the port and 3 pins in the port as well as in the cable were all bent up? I don't see how this could even happen. I tried bending them back with a needle, got them straight but they won't lay flat. The cable is pretty much fubar'd too I think.

I'm using the component cable now...

Interesting, I have a cheapy $4 HDMI cable and never had an issue even after unplugging it rather often
