Being called a "NOOB"

No gamer likes to be called a noob, newb, n00b, or any other variation of the word, but my question is, whats your reaction? Do you get angry? Do you blow it off? Do you go and cry in your basement for 6 hours? I want to know what GBAtemp's reaction to the word is.

When someone calls me a noob, I fall into a deep spiraling depression, knowing that I am subpar at whatever game that was being played and that I will always be inferior to the offending player.

Nearly everyone that uses the word "noob" doesn't know the meaning of the word. I generally take it as a compliment as it's used right after you kill someone.

Is there not a distinction between newb (aka the bastard control manual is 400 pages long and I only just got the thing -- some help may be necessary) and noob (most likely uses leetspeak unironically) any more?

As for the matter at hand I gave up caring what others think of me many years ago.

I just think: "Yeah, right, like you weren't a noob when you first made your character". And then ignore the remaining 1000+ times he/she keeps on calling me that. Rarely happens to me though, since i don't usually play online (and when I do, I'm mostly a solo).
