Homebrew Been out the scene for a long time

Hi there i have been out the scene for well over a year.

All i know is i used broswerhax to get menuhax loaded so when i turn on my ds i hold l and the homebrew channel and that i am on ver. 9.4.0-21 E.

I know there has been lots of updates on the scene and need some help.

Can someone help me by telling me what i should do if i want to install cia files.

All i know is i need to downgrade first which i need help with.

And then how do i install cia's what do i need.

Click on "get started" pick your 3ds model, and start from your system version, choose (Browser) if you used to have a working browserhax to get into HBL.
It's pretty foolproof and self-explanatory. If you need any help just ask!
Also, DON'T SKIP ANY STEPS, READ THEM THOROUGHLY!!!

After the guide you'll have a FULL CFW SysNAND that you can always restore if something goes wrong and that renders emunand useless.

So was doing the downgrade its taken away my access to the homebrew channel now my system is just 9.2.0-20E so am i best reinstalling the hbl by jumping back the to the start of the help you sent?

Yes, that's it's purpose. You should be on 9.2 to go forward. Now follow the guide as if you were on 9.2.0-20 (decrypt9 - browser)

You can remove any extra files and folders from the root of the SD card that are not in the following list:

Files and folders to keep on your SD card:
3ds
files9
hblauncherloader
luma
Nintendo 3DS
arm9loaderhax.bin
boot.3dsx

You can safely delete whatever is not this after you finish the WHOLE guide.

That's the best you can do, go step by step and you'll be done in the blink of an eye.

Am i on a cfw?
Can i not use cia's from games (i know may be illegal)?
Does this also mean i can play online?

More importantly can is there any other files i can unistall still using 1.25 gb of a 4gb sd card

Keep checking the guide to see what steps did you missed. If you didn't miss any steps, you should be all set. I recommend you to get 16GB microSD cards, since they are mostly on sale. I'm not entirely sure if just copying files from your 4GB to the 16GB microSD cards is all you need to do.

Thank you for all you help everyone got it all working now.
I missed the step of deleting the back nand back up on the sd card do freed up alot of room.
Really appreciate all the help was kind of expecting a reply of can you not look yourself or something like that when i first posted so i am extremely grateful
