But grains are definitely needed - not only for their micronutrient values (in whole grain ... cereals), but carbs are absolutely necessary to burn fat.

Music I like to work out to:

- Bloc Party's first album and their latest (fast paced and "peppy")
- Cage the Elephant
- Sevendust (Home, Alpha, or Cold Day Memory)
- Lostprophets (the harder stuff from each of their albums)

If I'm running/jogging, I like "Brothers" by The Black Keys. Rock & Roll/Blues. Good tempo to time pace your steps to.
