I saw a R4 at a car boot for £10. Awesome price! Was stopped by my brother in law to be (he's VERY against the game privacy.

The R4 truly was a revolution in flashcarts. It was an amazing device and still continues to be a good flashcart, but it is starting to show its age with lack of new and exciting features.

Maybe because there are too many flashcarts already, and a clone might not sell much.

Honestly, is it really that easy to make a cart and jack a firmware? Look at the number of clones today

Ahh I can see it now... everybody will want in on the flashcart market to make a quick buck... dozens of clones popping up everywhere... many of them... clones... evermore clones... far too many for modstores to handle.

Then stores will send them back to the manufacturers and they'd have no way to refund them... thus stores losing profit and an excess of flashcarts ends up being sold for prices like $5.

Then people going for the cheaper clones instead of the more expensive, good flashcarts. Lots of bad, console-bricking microSD-corrupting complaints from the cheap and awful flashcarts in the bargain bins. The word spreads... the flashcarts get a bad reputation similar to how Vista did.

Due to neglect from buyers, the more expensive, but good carts will become more costy to produce. And when the customers will be fed up with clones, instead of turning back to the real deals, they'll avoid flashcarts altogether, for a negative reputation created by the cheap clones.

Thus, the flashcart market crashes.
