Battlefield 2042 without updating

Is it possible to play that game without updating ps5 console? My ps5 is fw 4.00..

Current fw IS 4.05??

If mod comes out, i think IS fw 4.05 too high?

Of all the games to trouble updating a console for it is Battlefield 2042? I haven't been this confused since someone wanted to play elf bowling on the DS.

Anyway I don't know what has been done on the PS5 thus far as far as blocking updates but retaining online, most online efforts require current firmware regardless of what the base game uses and PS5 hacking is way early on too. Just here more to say Battlefield 2042 is the thing that sees you want to update or risk things?

I was in the same boat . I ended up updating my PS5 though because there is just way too many new games coming that will obviously need new a new firmware. Also its just so much fun to get in on the next gen online games while its all still new. I updated all the way.

The latest firmware is 4.50 and there's no way to play online without updating to it.
