Hi,

I've got a supercard lite with supercard passkey (don't know the name of theirs), and have been having some really poor battery life. I'm getting maybe 4-5 hrs gameplay before it dies. I use a generic 1 gb microsd card.

Would upgrading to a ds-slot solution help? Anything I can do with the way the files are written? Some magic battery-saving setting?

Or is it just that my battery is a bit faulty and no one else has this problem with the supercard.

Homebrew devices always use up more battery than official games, especially slot-2 devices. I too only get about 4 hours max on my DS Phat.

A suggestion is to eject the Superkey after you've booted the Supercard in DS mode, which will help improve battery life somewhat.

I thinks it is because of the internal battery or the fact that it is running "unsigned"

well with the supercard lite + passkey (i used to have one so i totally understand) you're basically using 2 slots at once.. the top one and the bottom one so for sure you're gonna be using up WAY more battery than just the supercard dsone alone.

If battery life is an issue for you, the cheapest thing (although kinda risky) is to flash your ds so you dont need the passkey. Otherwise, just get the supercard ds one =P
