Weeeell finally here's a dumped PTC public.sav (with your sweet mm2 homebrew port included @DiscostewSM ).

Rundown:
FAT 12 archive no sav header
image size 0x9F8000
file structure:
folder / files
GRP/ MM2PTCG0 MM2PTCG1 MM2PTCG2 MM2PTCG3 MM2PTCG4
MEM/ MM2PTCSV
PRG/ MM2PTC

I assume more folders will appear depending on the type of file saved.
The headers are smaller and simpler than the .PTC files saved to sd but the rest looks like the same, uncompressed plaintext.

If one wishes to inject MM2 to their 3ds and avoid scanning qrs, do this. Dump your public.sav, open it up with winimage or something, and drop the attached folders inside and save. Reinject to 3ds. Use the sudokuhax tools on this thread. (4.5 only for now).

Be smart, don't risk your main ptc save -- keep a backup. Back up your 3ds nand beforehand etc.

Petit Computer is basically a BASIC interpreter for the 3DS. It isn't as powerful as using actual homebrew writing stuff like ctrulib.

Also there was a version of this on the DSi.

Yes I realized that when I seen the hex value is limited max is FFFFFFFF and the proccessing power was intentionally limited.

So is this available in the eshop on all regions?

And will this accept qBasic or just basic?
Not yet for now only Japan. You can buy a Japan 3ds new for 100 bucks on Amazon. Or wait a month or two till its released in the US.

Wow thanks. I dont own petit computer for the ds but will get it and try it. I previously attempted making a program with a string as the name longer than the limited 8 chars. With this I may be able to. Thanks.

Oh you're taking about the old one? It's been taken down for the 3ds but you can still snag it from the DSi eshop. It's possible to system transfer it to 3ds I believe though.

Indeed, it is possible for one to still get petit computer onto their 3DS legitimately, by buying it on their DSi, then transferring it over. I just did so. :)

Awesome megaman 2 port btw. :)

Hardly. I said in the post you need 4.5.

Anyway, for 4.5 US users, I have a much simpler method of injecting but it completely overwrites your old save.
Use the method a few posts up if you wish to merge MM2 with your old save.
