In the end success is what the company itself expects to sell. Im heared 50 mil lifetime, or more than xb1... THATS A WHOLE LOT OF CONSOLES... I dont understand the need for Splatoon, Marokart8, Smash Bros to be ported. They need to make the next in line, 10mil people have already enjoyed them, chances of rebuying is slim.

Okay ill give you that, they did sell select wii games on eshop very late. but its probably because the wiiu had garbage hard drive space. gamecube had more power than the ps2 and was cheaper but its decision to not have any media options killed it. I believe the next nintendo WILL repeats its same mistakes. It even sounds like its gonna be the wiiu v2. We've heard early info about the ps4k already but squat from the "NX"

Let's not forget that both wii and wii u runs on PowerPC/ amd.

i truly dont think theyll give two good Zelda Wiiu ports to wiiu or nx, a crisp 1080 port. One will most likely be an upscaled edgy port a kin to twilight princess from gc to wii. Zelda sales havent been too great either, about 4 mil max each game as opposed to 30mil 3ds sales or 50mil wii sales. (skyward sword, majoras mask, ocarina of time)

Actually twilight princess hd is better and more importantly clearer but ngc mod with new graphic engine was much better (and requires a really good gpu which ps4k should be capable). It is at least better than capcom/ square enix.
Also ocarina/ mask did redo model/ texture.

I wonder if Nintendo would ever consider paying these fans for a remake that cost 60 bucks for one.

And if the ps4k rumor was acutally nx?

If they change CPU arch then the work will be huge...

in the case twilight princess the game was just recompiled and "wiimoted"
in this case if really there is a port for NX the CPU arch will change from RISC to CISC, from 32 bit to 64 bit ... they need to rework the game only to be sure to have no trouble on recompile .

also in case of ARM cpu Arch they need to make a huge work to be sure the porting is good ...

the case of twilight princess can happen again with 2 conditions:
1)
the NX is powerpc based again.
2)
they managed to create a internal devkit tha can crunch wiiu source code into NX without problems ...

also a less probable 3rd case:
zelda wiiu was ready for wiiu , but they re-coded it for NX from scratch and backported to wiiu ...

also a even less probable 4th case:
there is only Zelda NX, wiiu version has been canned ...

x86 is more than enough to handle powerpc virtual machine though floating point part(which powerpc is truly superior to my intel) would be given to gpu.
And modern game engine take care of that.

to clarify i meant one of the zelda games for either 'nx' or wiiu will look a lot worse than the other. This was the case for Twilight Princess for Gamecube and Wii. When either was played on a 480 tv the gamecube version looked a whole lot better but was 4:3, meanwhile the wii version was more blurry but displayed in 16:9.

The guy who wrote it could be way off and if hes remotely on the right track then the nx will not be that great in terms of being better than ps4/xb1

Another thing is the rumored released dates, yes dates. Its rumored to be ONE console but the rumor goes that the 'handheld' will come first in holiday 2016 followed by the 'console' early 2017, presumably january obviously avoiding "having" to put it on sale immediately, but TWO parts. Im not a marketing guy but i would say that showcasing the handheld first would be a mistake solely because of the steady and ongoing success of the 3ds, even though it was released in 2011 and the wiiu in 2013. But then again there are almost no games announced past the summer for either systems.

Although im extremely interested in the details, the price point to specs and capabilities for me is what will ultimately by it. $1000 on day on is only for the hardcore fanboy. The capabilities for the wiiu were amazing but the games never utilized all the gimmicks. Star Fox is the only one that possibly will. The wiiu was a HUGE let down and not in terms of sale numbers only nintendo care about but of the games utilization of such gimmicks. The 3ds is by far the best console right now and when a game comes out with no 3d it ruins it for me. All the people ever want to know now is what is the next gimmick.

The NX will have 69 Terabytes of RAM, It will be the strongest and fastest console there ever was, it will be way better than any other competitors for at least three decades, the Gamepad will be twice as strong than the console itself, if you connect the Gamepad and the console with a SCART cable, their power will combine, it will have a factory Title installed to it, that can be unlocked by pressing Up + Up + Down + Down + Left + Right + Left + Right + B + A + 6 + 9 + Start + Select + A + B... The Title will be called The Pirate Channel, and it will be an .FBI installer (The NX format of eShop games), and YES, the NX will support pirating games from factory condition and officially! (It just has to be unlocked, so unexperienced little kids don't delete the Brick Preventor, a System Title, that if deleted or modified, the console will instantly brick.).
