As someone who smoked just about daily for sixteen years, this absolutely does not sound like simple marijuana.
In my opinion there almost had to be something else involved.
First off, how did you smoke this? Joint? Bong? Pipe? Other?
Did you watch your friend break up and then roll/pack the implement?
Is this friend known to partake in other drugs?
If you were smoking from a pipe that was also used to smoke other drugs you may have had a reaction to residue from the other drug(s).
Or you may be one of the very rare few that simply has a bad (perhaps allergic) reaction to pot.
Or you may have a preexisting medical condition that became aggravated by the pot.
We may never know.
And to the people arguing that pot is totally good or totally bad, listen:
Chemical science is not a world of absolutes.
On the packaging of almost every medication in the world you'll find a list of possible unpleasant side effects.
Viagra might cause a heart attack.
Medicine to treat tremors and muscle spasms might cause you to compulsively gamble.
Even too much Tylenol will kill you.
Everything has good points and bad ones.
And the same is probably true for marijuana.
When you fall down the stairs from my previous post it should cause some nervous system damage, depending on the amount of stairs and the rate at which it keeps happening.
EDIT: Also why does every pot smoker go to the "IT TREATS CANCER" argument when a majority of them are smoking it because they just want to fucking smoke it? It's kinda like saying that whacking off helps cure diabetes. Maybe it does, but why does it matter if I don't have diabetes?
Sounds like the trip I had a couple years back. PROTIP: Most of the time it is NOT "OG Kush". "OG Kush" doesn't fucking exist anymore and anyone claiming they have it has a bunch of laced stuff. So yea, you smoked something laced.
I'm feeling nearly 100% now.
It was from a bong and since I never really smoked before I didn't really know that taking several hits was a lot.
I kept re-hearing my agonizing coughs and was hearing things that didn't exist. I thought I was watching myself at times too when my visuals kept cycling once every second. All in all, it was fun, it induced fear and panic but I don't regret doing it. It's not something I'm going to do again but =)
doesnt sound like marijuana to me either, maybe its fake weed like k2,space cadet, pink kush etc (these can give bad trips to some people).
and btw weed has a lot of health benefits check this page out http://coedmagazine....s-of-marijuana/

Again, that's not a health benefit. That's a cure. (and not even a 100% proven cure at that). There is NO WAY smoking weed can be GOOD for normal, healthy individuals and, as The_Hulkster said, most people just smoke it for the fun of it.
Take paracetamol for example, it is definitely a cure for pain relief but taking it in excess and without the pain to relief (ie. just for fun) is bad for you.
And yes, EVERY PSYCHOLOGICAL DRUG, NO MATTER GOOD OR BAD, AFFECTS YOUR NERVOUS SYSTEM. They release chemicals across gaps in your CNS called synapses and in some cases the body can become reliant on these chemical, this is what causes addiction (but that's another story).
Sorry to hear about your bad trip Zetta! I've met a really small amount of people in my many years as a pot smoker who have had some side effects, but nothing like that. More like feelings of paranoia, dizziness and that kind of thing. I get the feeling that whatever you smoked was laced with something pretty serious, or possibly you had an allergic reaction (if that's possible?). Personally I've been smoking for decades and have never had any kind of side effect except for hungriness. It's the problem with outlawing something like pot though, it puts the stuff in the hands of some pretty unscrupulous people. If it's licensed and regulated in the same way as alcohol it removes that threat.

well good try you tell something and workout what you met with things like 'was you think of all when you had some, and the things happened later as you described. i've had some of those same things myself and it was like i 've been thinking like i am with my friend doing tings be on a way, beeing serious, and free to understand what's happening, then sometimes it comes closer at you how it feels where you are enjoying , or have to move on,
My wife, her first time getting pot through someone other than me, was given pot laced with some other drug. It happens often through uneducated youths. An now that there is is 'K9' or 'Spice' BS available and unregulated on the market, you never know what you might get. Pot alone will not cause convulsions (unless you are allergic to smoke), and it wont cause any serious effects. Paranoia is not uncommon on the first few times of smoking pot, especially when you are trying to hide it from your parents.
I've smoked pot since I was about 12 or 13. It certainly has effected my mental stability, but I've never had an issue from pot where I needed to be hospitalized.
With that said, every person is still very different. No one knows how you may react to a certain substance.
But I will say that if you can't handle pot then don't ever ever try any other drug.
If it was kush, it was kush, which is standard weed. You just greened out that's all. That happened to me before. But when you keep smoking, you get used to it and sort of don't even act high and you can go about your day and work and everything just fine. Where I live, we smoke BC Bud, which is really good weed.
You're new to it, so obviously you don't know what to expect. Here's my story in the spoiler when I greened out:
I was at a party, and it was still fairly early. I took a hit from a bong that I never smoked from before. Next thing I know, the vibration of the music it was like constant beats and everything. So I knew something wasn't right, so I went outside, because the best thing to do is go outside and let the air help you. Went out there, it was raining, and I stood out there for like 45 minutes (it felt like 3 minutes to me). My vision was twisting like everything was moving in a circle and I was freaking out. So I just kept trucking through the trip, then I noticed that in my vision, there was a tiny little spot that wasn't moving or doing anything stupid. So I stared at that and concentrated on it because obviously I knew that was what was real. It helped me, went back inside, smoked some more and had a good night.
I'm sorry but to the people who are saying it was laced. It wasn't. Read the guy's comments:
He's never smoked before.
He smoked it through a bong (which gets you ridiculously high)
He took several hits.
You just smoked some strong weed.
I'm a daily smoker. I smoke ty-hits (tobacco and weed) every single day all the time. You get used to it where you don't even get a high any more, but a chill. You soon get a tolerance for it and you'll soon find yourself being able to smoke it and do regular activities like work, school, driving.
