I currently have backup loader running fine with HBC with Menu 3.2 along with Starfall. My Wii is USA NTSC and I have been copying rental games with RawDump and I have downloaded many Virtual console and WiiWare games. All play with no problems or glitches (except audio and some video in Quantum of Solace and Wario Shake-It due to the 3x spped of the DVD-Rom). My question is what advantage is there to switching to RiskiMod other then being able to launch a game through the Disk channel. My intention is not to say what is better or to start any war. I am just looking for information. Thanks

You can play games from all 3 regions.

I've played Wii Music (NTSC-J) and Star Wars: Force Unleashed (PAL) already on 0.3 gamma; I have a NTSC 3.2U Wii w/starfall. From what I gather patching the games (region, IOS, etc) takes up less time if any at all. Just straight burn and play.

Advantages come into play if you're more of an advanced user.

I have 40 NTSC/U 30 Pal and 4 NTSC/J all work flawless in RiiskiMod as with gamma. I just don't have to have a launcher anymore so old. Now my games show right up in the disc channel as they're suppose too!!!

Also MOHH2 did not work for me in gamma patch with 249 ios the disc was a coaster, now it's not Riiski fix that.

Riskii mod has higher compatability with backups because of the built in region free and the modified IOS. games aren't forced to use ios 249 anymore they can use the correct IOS with full backup support. the need to do any patch is done away with.

for normal users, i think gamma should be fine.
