1) What does the term 1:1 games mean?

2)What YOUR recommended burn speed?

1:1 means a game that has not been patched.

Most people usually burn at anywhere from 2.4x-4x. Although many people have had no problems at higher speeds, its always better to burn slower than faster to prevent write errors.

Any other questions you have may already have answers in DjTaz's FAQ thread : http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=108...t=0&start=0

1:1 means it wasn't decrypted. Older back up loaders required you to run a program to decrypt the games partitions.

I recommend burning at 1-2.4x speed. I wouldn't doing it any faster if you want a higher chance of getting a good burn.

I use Sony and Verbatim DVD-Rs with no problem. I have to burn them at 8x or else they will not work or will have sucky load times.

One weird thing though: Verbatims will only load patched discs (otherwise I get a DRE) but the Sony's will load 1:1.

My drive is weird. o_O
