Gaming Backup loader can Brick your wii???

I know (from youtube) that when you start wiigators wii backup loader, it has a warning about this potentially bricking you wii, how would that happen? or is that just to cover his butt?
I assume if the game was bad (didnt burn right or something else) it would just not read the disc and not go any further.
How would the wii get bricked?

well if you installed everything properly it should work..unless the backup your using is actually some kind of bricker but that doesnt happen much unless you download it from a torrent then theres a chnace that it might be. But I never had problems with it so you should be fine =O

How could the game be a "bricker?" Doesn't the program check to make sure its a game? If the program doesn't recognize it as a game, why would anything happen?

OK, so it is fairly obvious that guys info was not accurate. Can anyone accurately answer my question?

it only says that so you cant sue the makers,

the only way loading a backup can brick your wii, is installing a out of region update, or someone needs to make a trucha signed iso, with a bricker program in it...
