Hacking Backup Loader 0.3 Compatibility Thread

Hello everyone,

for some time i have something strange about the backup loader v0.3 beta.
I recently downgraded to 3.2E and the backup loader works perfectly, i could even make all my tests with the isos i had.
But for a while, regardless the game I launch, the loader freezes on the launching screen and my wiimote losts the sync with the wii. I tried all my games and there was no exception.. So I tried to uninstall the CIOS and begin a new installation with Wiigator's CIOS36 rev 6 but the results are the same. There isn't any game that boots now. Do any of you have an idea or experienced the same?

i think i might be having similar problem as well. I managed to used backup launcher on games such as de blob and boom blox. But after i uninstalled my cIOS (i was duped into that uninstalling cIOS can help to install wad games as i kept on having (ret= -1022)error) and reinstalled the cIOS36 rev6, backup launcher will now freeze when trying to launch any games. Not sure whether this is also due to HBC being updated to 9. But even after i remove HBC9, and reinstalled HBC8, things still the same and i cant use backup launcher anymore.

Anyone with any clues out there to help with this?

I had this problem after updating the HBC as well... Do you think there is some sort of effect? If it was the problem maybe other people are ine the same situation. Do you know someone else that is in the same case?
I was wondering if it cant' be my DVD drive that is in cause because I had my wii the first day it was sold, so maybe it some kind of "tired" ?

Are you guys able to play original Wii disks?

Also what method (app) did you use to remove the IOS's?

oh i googled for 2 secs btw, first message of quantum of solace it nuetral, sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt (tought 1:1 had most % working) but i would wait with it till better messages

i did not have any original wii disk to test with. games that i've managed to play prior to backup loader (normal or via gecko os) still works fine. i used waninkoko's cios uninstaller/anytitle deleter to remove the cios and reinstalled the new cios several times since then, but still the same freeze after tryin to boot the game via backup launcher.

will try to downgrade my wii to 3.2u later and try to reinstall the new cios to test it out to see if that works. will let u all know later on the results.

I can confirm that Disaster: Day of Crisis hangs up when loading Level 8.

Is there a way of fixing this? It stays black and I can't even turn off the Wii via Wiimote when I try to load level 8 :-/

Waninkoko's cIOS (rev6) have the same compatibility as Wiigator's?

Also, what's cIOS fix? Can it be installed with Waninkoko's one?

Paper Mario PAL - works flawlessly, played till Level 3.1

Geometry Wars -Galaxies- PAL - flawlessly

We love Golf NTSC - flawlessly

really, level 3-1, if you pay that guy in 2-3 it freezes right? did you put gc hook on?

Just Got Backup Loader 0.3! I had the Excite Truck, Carnival Games, and Wario Land: Shake It, Backed Up Already.
I like to backup my games Just In Case(JIC)

Excite Truck: Fully Working 100%

. Video Perfect. Menu Way Faster that 0.1. Runs at full speed and perfect loading times!

Carnival Games: Fully 100% Working

. About 5 second loading times compared to 15 in 0.1. Great Gameplay.

Wario Land: Shake It!: NOT WORKING: Gives flashing green screen and Freezes Wii

. PLEASE FIX! Waninko's version works but intro video is not bearable to get through so HOPEFULLY WiiGator could fix this and get the intro to work well.
