Does anybody know why backup-creator.exe no longer works on my machine

All i get in CMD is could not get partition key title

I got the same problem too. I used it once and it worked fine, but the second time it didn't work.

Just remembered. If You guys need a good banner for the wii channel, I'd be happy to make one. I'm quite good at photoshop. Just let me know the dimensions and format.

Isn't working for me, I've Installed the CIOS from this installer here http://wiibrew.org/wiki/CIOS_Patchmii_Installer

Installed DVDX through Advanced on IOS249, burned 3 games (BoomBlox scrubbed, Wiichess Scrubbed and StarwarsTFU Full) all patched with the success message and burned on IMGBurn (1 on DiskUtility on OSX) all on 4x speed on a Sony DVD-R, but when I hit start game on the Wiigator loader I get a DVD Identify error and a error reading disk filesystem on Waninkoko's loader. I've tried everything on 2 Wiis as well. What am I doing wrong? Should I try Nero?

OK, so I'm new to this whole thing...

How do you patch your games?

I have a bunch of games I've burned to DVD+R that I go by using nitrotux's ISO dumper and just combing the files. I was copying them for when I finally install my WiiKey, but now that might not be necessary. Is there some easy-to-use patching tool?

Ever tried doing FORCE PAL or FORCE NTSC? Well I downloaded No More Heroes NTSC and I found out I had to FORCE PAL or else it will just get stuck on the GSOD which is strange....I didnt patch it with WiiFrii or anything...Doesnt matter in the end though since I have component cables

Yeah, I'm kinda wondering about the patching as well.
Is it done this way?

2. Patch the game ISO. Put the ISO in the same directory of the backup-creator with the common-key file, RIGHT CLICK the ISO, and select OPEN WITH. Find the backup creator and select it.

I wasn't sure if this step is telling me to Patch the game iso and then put the iso in the same directory, yada yada yada. Or if it was telling me how to Patch the game iso by doing the put iso in the same directory, blah blah blah.

you need to install the cios. either waninkokos cios ver5 of you have to compile wiigators. then install dvdx (advanced install) to 249)

Do you have to use ImgBurn? I see everyone stating they used it but I really don't feel like having a bunch of different ISO tools on my computer. I already have Ashampoo Burning Studio and Alcohol 120%, could I use one of those instead without running into any problems?

EDIT: Also, I'm gonna use Maxell DVD-Rs.. hopefully they work fine.

Alright, I tried with Alcohol 120% and it plays though I let it sit on the Press A+B screen and now it's playing the opening video and is extremely laggy. Would this be from the burner I used or is it like that for everyone? It completely froze now while glitching through the video.

I assume u are playing wario..well it isnt compatiable with the loader...so ya...Also its not your burner because I can burn games at 16x speed and the load time will be the same as if i burnt it on 2x speed...apparently the max read speed for the app is 3x(is from what I heard).

Whoops, don't know why I didn't post what game I was trying. It was Star Wars: TFU. It plays fine, though, minus the long load screens.

But if you let it sit at the "Press A+B" screen so that it plays the opening video or whatever, the video lags to hell and freezes my Wii. At least the game plays though.

Also, on that Backup Launcher wiki page that lists the compatibilities, it says the de Blob NTSC one has some issues but it says the PAL one has no issues. Could I get the PAL one and use the Force NTSC option and have it run fine?

Oh yeah and do scrubbed ISOs work with no problems too? Since the only download I found for this one game is a scrubbed copy.

Wooow thats weird...because my Star Wars the cinematics does not lag at all period..and its NTSC? well I havnt tested the Wiigator Backup Launcher for Star Wars but I tried other games on the Wiigator Loader such as Super Mario Galaxy(NTSC), No More Heroes(NTSC, Long ass loads!?), Naruto Shippuuden GNT EX2(Runs Fine), Naruto CoN Revo.(Runs Fine)..but I used the Waninkokos Backup Launcher for Star Wars and it was fine on cinematics just long ass loads.

The game runs the same scrubbed or not scrubbed.

The cinematics play fine actually when playing the game itself.. it's just that first video that starts up if you let the main screen sit idle. Try that one out.

And thanks @ the scrubbed question.

I have the PAL version of Starwars TFU, forced NTSC for colour, long load times, but plays perfectly fine, even the cinematics don't skip ^^

About letting the screen idle... I rather not, I've waited long enough for it to load :]

Is it normal for the patched ISO to be smaller than the original ripped ISO? I've tried 5 times and I get -4100 error on Waninkokos and DVD Identity Error on the other loader.

What struck me as awkward was that when I tried Star Wars: TFU, (NTSC), I changed the settings to FORCE NTSC and it read the game but it would be stuck on the loader screen (Loading Game) forever. Happened to me as well for Budokai 3 (NTSC) on Waninkokos loader. I would give it 5 minutes then just shut off the Wii and try again but now its not being recognized. I would get -4100 and DVD Identity Error depending on the loader. It doesn't make sense that it recognizes the game the first time I pop it in then get stuck at loading and freeze, and never be read again.

What am I doing wrong? I am using DVD-R, burning them at 4x. I've tried both Nero an Imgburn but same results. Not sure what brand my DVD-R's are, I know I got them at COSTCO and then have a white blank canvas on it.

Any help would be much appreciated because I am getting frustrated with wasting so many DVD-R's
