Some burners auto-set bittype of DVD+R to DVD-Rom. Others you have a choice to do it manually or leave as DVD+R.cdreams said:By the way regarding burning DVD's, I found out something interesting regarding DVD+R's. I was originally burning my discs on my laptop but I was unable to set the DVD Type and so any I burned just wouldn't work. Fair enough. However I also have my iMac and htought I would try that drive to see if it could set DVD Type. It never but when I use it to burn the discs, they work fine, so I think it may be set as standard to burn to the right type of disc.
Pioneer are the odd ones out - they don't allow you to set it manually and it doesn't automatically set it either. You can however edit the firmware to allow auto-bitsetting.
I've absolutely no interest in quantum of solace but I'm going to get it to test - there is too much confusion regarding it.
Every game I've tried so far works fine (except the blob which is well documented as not working, and Bratz, which crashes at the very begining - I would like some confirmation that others had problems with it too though.
I use quality discs and PIF scan my created discs to make sure they are of a high enough quality to keep.
Right, finished burning. Clean 1:1 PAL copy of the game, running on a PAL 3.2e console (patched with starfall) using wiigators 0.3beta, cIOS rev6 (the one wiigator included) and nothing else. Shows the first safety screen, then shows a screen saying to make sure everything is connected to the wii zapper properly and then it gives the "There has been an error, press EJECT... ..." screen. Tried with PAL50/PAL60 and all hooktypes.
No idea (and couldn't care less) about bastardised/decrypted copies.
This game clearly doesn't work with 0.3beta, and as such I'll edit the wiki to say so.
