Well it also has some bugs that isn't fixed... yet. But those Brite colors of the 3000. :)
Permenate cfw is good to have, but still the fast recovery isn't so bad. Still i like to get that Promethus coldbird online server working if possible, i wanna try online psp games. :P
If you get it working, hit me up, I'd be interested.

Theflow just announced that he is working on a psp emulator, and is now asking for help from other devs who want to contribute due to limited time to work on the project. The article is up on wololo.

What are the differences between the 1001 and 2001 Vita?

Also, if I did decide to stay with a PSP for now. What are you suggestions for type and software version?
PSV 1k has an OLED display and 512MB of RAM. 2k has an LCD and 1GB of RAM. Honestly, if you can, go for the first one.

I own a PSP 3k as well, and I can tell you - If you only want it for PSP stuff, go for a PSP. microSD->Memory Stick Duo adapters are cheap, but PS Vita memory cards are really expensive.

Sweet! Contacted the friend I sold my 2001 to a few years ago. He said it still works and I can just have it back. I'll have to buy a new battery. Did I read correctly that there is a MS Duo adapter that allows use of microSD?

Yes I'm using one of those, my PSP has 128gb thanks to it :)

Slim doesn't have 1GB RAM, are you kidding me?
It has 1GB of internal storage whereas Phat doesn't have any internal storage.

By the way the GO is the best choice IMO if you're going to be buying a PSP.

Don't buy psp 3000. The screen is bad. I had psp 1000 . I sold it then i wanted to buy a newer model . I debated with one to buy psp 2000 or psp 3000. I finally decided to buy the 3000 model. Big mistake. I was reading on the Internet that the screen is more clear, no ghosting (i dont even know wtf it's mean). better buttons ,blablabla. But the scanlines on the screen make many games looks so bad for me. not natural it all. I am sad. As for the vita i don't care. If you want to buy console in new condition go for the vita it's cheaper.
sounds like your 3000 is a factory defect.

May i ask why you decided this as best opinion?

Don't really have a particular reason, it's just more of a personal preference. And I'm not a person who needs 100's of games on my PSP to buy larger storage devices, so yeah. It feels good in hand (after you get used to it), it's nice and compact and fits well in your pocket. Also includes 16 GB of internal storage, which is just enough for me. I mean you could buy another 16 GB(m2 card) if you wish.

So compared to the other psp, is it really that much comfortable?

Ughh, my bad, forgot about that. Lol
The Go is definitely not good for people with large hands.

I have large hands lol, I must admit it'll take a bit of time to get used to but then it's fine.
There are a few games where I am not sure I'd be comfortable with a Go. More specifically, the Project Diva series. I always wanted to own a Go though, they're pretty cool.
