What does the AXE do when you put it on your NDS??
(I use Acekard2)

Anyways does AXE let you listen to music while you play your roms??

or is there a program where you can listen to your mp3/music files while you play roms?

IIRC, AXE is a simple music "game" that lets you play different notes & tones by touching the screen in different places. It is not an mp3 player or anything of the sort.

Not possible on the DS.

I don't think flashcarts will ever be able to play music AND run ROMs at the same time..I mean, they run too slow for some games as it is (Tony Hawks Downhill Jam, Castlevania - Portrait of Ruin would be best examples)..Games would freeze and be unplayable..And why would you want that, when music in most games take a great part in making atmosphere, I enjoy listening effects and background music while playing games..

I personally have an all-in-one NDS/iPod/bicycle/phone/TV/car/lamp/stapler/stereo all thanks to Duct Tape 1.0.

Not quite as portable as I'd like, but I can drive it around thanks to the "car" feature.

Isn't that, in essence, *the* definition of "portable?"
You win, good sir. Now to hack Duct Tape for it to play region 2 dvds.

Sure, but while I'm at home it doesn't fit anywhere but my garage. I should add a laz-y-boy recliner and a six pack of beer to it.

Just upgrade to the Lay-Z-Pot toilet set and add a minifridge on to it. That'll kill many birds with one extra stone.

EDIT: Holy hell, we've completely hijacked this thread.

Back on-topic, the reason you can't play music and play games at the same time is because the DS does not have an underlying operating system like the PSP does. Once a program has control of the system, it has full control over all the hardware, and therefore you cannot run two separate programs at once. Even if you could, it takes the full power of the ARM7 just to decode low-bitrate mono mp3 files, so it wouldn't be feasible to do so.
