ROM Hack Attention ban super smash bros ultimate

Hello today my friend got banned from super smash bros ultimate for using a moded save...
He was playing on a legit cartridge and he got this error code : 2124-4027
I send the picture bellow
Do you think he can have any solutions to be able to play online again ?
Or he have to buy a new switch
His switch or his profile is banned ?

Try to go online in another game, also this happen with splatoon 2 on moded saves. There is nothing that he can do on that switch, if you don’t want to be banned just never modify your saves and go online

maybe he will be banned in a time ( that happen with pepleo who modded splatoon 2) , we don´t know, so don´t use any homebrew on the sys of switch, just use emunand for that

Do you have any idea what was on the modded save? What exactly did he do to his save file? It's specific questions like this that can really help pinpoint what gives you away.

Correction the records in game dont mean squat there seems to be a unique id that our own games create with our save files. So using someone else's save will prompt a mismatch check causing an app ban
You will have to buy another switch to regain that games online privileges

After buying a new switch to attempt to play the game online legitimately they also ban the account from its server.
So basically this means I would have to re create a new Nintendo account and get the game+ its DLC bundle all over again. No big deal since the first download was a birthday gift.
Just a small update since I too got banned using a completed save file. Sorry for the non merge post :old thread.

Sadly he needs to buy a new switch. He should have thought that using any mods and hacking online is easily detected by nintendo.

restoring nands isn't going to remove a game ban from their servers. The Nintendo account and the switch are basically blacklisted in the SSBU servers.
