How are you doing the handoff from SXOS Dongle?

There are a couple ways to do the handoff:

Via SX_Gear_v1.1.zip (this replaces boot.dat and directs to a file called payload.bin)
or
https://sx-boot-dat-creator.herokuapp.com/ (this takes any payload such as Hekate.x.x.x.bin or fusee.bin and makes a boot.dat out of it)

Pretty sure I used that boot.dat website creator. (in the pre-atmosphere SX days, it was just the boot.dat file that I needed to have and update when SX made changes)
I'll make a new boot.dat from the latest Hekate file and plop it in the root. Anything else I should do/change in addition?

Ok! So that seemed to work and it boots into Hekate. (first time I ever booted into Hekate actually...in the past, it never went here, just into the SX OS menu and or Atmosphere direct)
I'm not sure where to go in here to boot up my emunand atmosphere side, but I will try just launching and see where it goes?

Ok I see, there was a launch option for atmosphere CFW. It booted back to where I was before. Atmosphere showing the new version now. I think it's safe to run Daybreak and update OFW now to 14.1. Thanks!

what exactly is "ptm"? I keep getting a crash relating to it and I can't find the cause at all

it's mostly happening when i am in animal crossing, no other game or menus do this particular crash so i'm confused as hell i guess? I'm currently reinstalling the game, but here's the crash log i have!!

Well I can confirm that 0100000000000010 is the PTM we were looking at above.

yeah that was me that posted that, but because i didn't use the template i got kinda shutdown for it, and then got too shy to try to submit another report because i didn't want to sound like an idiot.

I don't particularly know if it WAS sys-botbase's fault bc removing it and completely resinstalling atmosphere from scratch still yielded the same results, but yeah.

Funnily, things seem like they work ok-ish when the console is not docked. I'll double check about that later since i'm currently working on making another backup of my emmc to be safe

EDIT:
given my roommate's switch works fine, if i were to copy the files from theirs to mine, would that potentially fix some issues? Or is that not recommended?

Wasn’t trying to out you. Did you completely wipe the sd card and do a fresh install? Might want to do so just to make sure nothing is being left behind.

yeah, it was, but i eventually figured it out entirely. for a moment i got super paranoid / anxious so i posted here as well
i think i PROPERLY did a clean install this time, so i may have actually fixed it this time

EDIT: Previously all i did was remove the atmosphere and switch folders i think. Which was via hekate's usb function bc only now did i find my damn microsd reader lol

I've updated Atmosphere after a good couple of months of my Switch gathering dust (needed to delete atmosphere and sept folders in the process, as it failed to launch after simple overwrite) and now I cannot use title override - pressing R while launching a game/app launches that app rather than the homebrew menu. Tried other buttons, tried placing override_config into config folder and removing semicolons from "Any Application Config" and [default_config] section - nope. Overriding the album (applet mode) works fine. Any ideas what am I doing wrong?
