[Atmosphere] FTP - How to use internet ONLY for FTP and not getting update-notifications.

I just want to use Filezilla with FTP on my Switch, how is this possible to use internet ONLY for FTP and not getting any trouble or update-notifications?

Could somebody please share a tutorial? I only need Internet for FTP, thanks

I have done this part:

Setup:​

1. Insert your SD into your pc
2. Enter the Atmosphere folder
3. If it doesn't exist already, create a folder named hosts in the atmosphere folder
4. Copy the emummc.txt into the hosts folder
   • If you want to apply the DNS redirection to sysmmc instead of emummc, rename the file to sysmmc.txt

is the following from the site necessary - it sounds a bit like optional

I'm not too firm with that DNS/wifi stuff

If it wasn’t necessary they wouldn’t have taken the time to write out those steps

Downloading and using that file is the best way unless you want to make your own txt file and list out everything you want to block manually

Heads up, nh-server is against piracy. As such, their guide is flawed and shitty(no disrespect)
