Gaming Asus Eee PC, removing pre-installed Linux

So im like half way through buying an Asus Eee PC online, im sure it comes pre installed with Linux. But i dont want linux. So is there a way to practically delete everything on the laptop, and then install Windows XP? TY in advice.

You've never installed an OS before?

Just run the installer. They always have partitioning options.

Although the modified Xandros is actually the best OS for the eee.

1. Plug in external dvd drive
2. Insert legit XP CD, or nlited CD you made your self or got from a torrent site such as theninja bay, where ninja = pirate.
3. Install drivers from included backup dvd.

Why do you want to install XP? The Linux included is very nice.

btw, if you do get the 300$/2G model, you WILL need an nlited XP. I have a torrent link.

i was referring to the fact that he had to switch those two words

It was $200 more for me for the XP Model. Just went with the Linux, and i have a legit copy of XP anyway.

You should nlite your legit copy to remove thes stuff you don't need.

Really? 4G with XP = 400$. 4G with Linux = 400$.

If you bought a 2G model, a full XP install wont work on it, apparently, you will need an nlite xp.

Weird, I was under the impression the new 8.9" models will be @ the same price point for XP and Linux bc the Windows one only has a 12 gig HD as opposed to the Linux one having 20.
